Spren can ingest many data types, but the primary data input is a building block of heart rate variability called “inter-beat intervals” (IBIs) or “R-R intervals” (RRs). When properly analyzed, this raw data is a window into the nervous, cardiovascular and respiratory systems. More info here.

There are many compatible devices and sensors that can generate the accurate signal data needed, so we won’t be able to list them all, but here are the current most common compatible devices:

Want to use your own device?

For HRV biomarker insights, we recommend the device has:

  • Inter-beat intervals (IBIs) or RR intervals that are not smoothed or averaged
  • A minimum of 50Hz sampling rate for PPG signals or 250Hz sampling rate for ECG signals
